Future Projects
We exist to bring recreation and sports related activities to the youth of the Spirit Lake Nation.
It is our vision that SLYS be a catalyst that brings the community, local businesses, and the Spirit Lake Nation together to develop safe, healthy, fun and engaging sporting activities for our youth to participate in.
It is with this spirit of collaboration that we seek your support in our efforts to develop future projects.
At Spirit Lake Youth Sports, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and excel in sports while developing essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

SLYS Concession / Restroom / Meeting Room Building
This facility will include concession area and public bathrooms for us during football and baseball events. This facility will also include storage area and office/meeting area for the Spirit Lake Youth Sports non‐profit.
Rodeo Ground Improvements
Improve outdated infrastructure for rodeo grounds.
Ski Jump (Adventure Park)

Remove old ski lift

Construct new ski lift

Purchase equipment: tubes, skis, snow cat

Groom trails: tubing, skiing, sledding, ATV, snowmobile, horse riding

Renovate Lodge to include concessions, bathrooms, seating area
Indoor Riding Arena
Construct an indoor facility for which horse riding lessons, training and education can happen year-round.
Skate/Bike Park
Design & construct an outdoor skate park for skateboarding, scooters, and bikes etc.
Little League Field Renovation
Reconstruct the playing field using synthetic turf.
Indoor Pool with Sauna or Steamroom

RV PARK
Develop an area near the Pow Wow grounds where RV’s can gain access to electricity, water and other amenities.
All Terrain Vehicle Trails

Identify land to develop a trail system for recreational ATV’s

Provide Safety training for those interested in utilizing ATV’s & trails
Indoor Bubble Dome Facility
Create a facility that can be utilized year-round for sport, recreation, and training.
Disc Golf Course
Establish a disc golf course that can be used by the school and community. Potential for disc golf leagues and tournaments.
Splash Pad
Design and construct a splash pad for the community.
